ARCH 2610 - Mid-Rise Architecture 4.5 Credits Students learn about the unique requirements for designing and constructing mid-rise (4-10 story) buildings. Code regulations, construction types, and egress along with building materials and structural systems are examined in the context of tall structures. Cladding systems and sustainable design are discussed. Students also learn about vertical circulation for people, services and building systems within a building’s core.
Prerequisites: (1) ARCH 2410 must be completed prior to taking this course. Lec: 4.5 Lab: 0 Cr: 4.5
