DIMA 1530 - Designing with WordPress 4.5 Credits
Students learn to apply design and visual communication principles as they create websites using a Content Management System (CMS) known as WordPress. Students learn how this CMS fits into a larger visual communication strategy, and learn how to create a visual web presence for a company, product or brand.
Prerequisites: (2) DIMA 1500 and DIMA 1520 or DIMA 1325

Course Objectives
- Apply design principles and translate visual communication to the Wordpress CMS.
- Create a cohesive, visual web identity for a company’s brand and products.
- Create web mockups using an industry-standard bitmap image editor.
- Customize the design of Wordpress websites using HTML & CSS.
- Research and evaluate open-source Wordpress resources.
