AUTB 2310 - Automotive Refinishing II

This course is a continuation of Automotive Refinishing I with emphasis placed on solving paint application problems. Students practice paint mixing, matching and application, finish defects, and causes and cures.

Prerequisites: (1) AUTB 2300

Course Objectives
1.    Select the proper thinner or reducer and identify paint codes on modern vehicles.

2.    Demonstrate the application of single stage, enamel, waterbase and basecoat/clearcoat.

3.    Explain and demonstrate detailing and clean up.
