FIST 2040 - Principles of Fire & Emergency Services Safety & Survival 3 Credits Offered: Online
This course introduces the basic principles and history related to the national firefighter life safety initiatives. These initiatives focus on the need for cultural and behavior change throughout the emergency services. Students also examine the factors that shape fire risk management and mitigation as it pertains to emergency services. This course is written following the National Fire Academy (NFA) FESHE curriculum.
Prerequisites: (1) Acceptance into Fire Science Technology (FSAAS) program must be completed prior to taking this course. Lec: 3 Lab: 0 Cr: 3
