EMSP 1126 - Paramedic Part 4 of 4 12 Credits This course is part 4 in a sequence of 4 courses in the paramedic program that must be completed consecutively. Students gain advanced knowledge of bleeding/shock, trauma systems, soft tissue trauma, burns, face/head/neck/spine/chest, ABD/GU/GI trauma, orthopedic trauma.
Students also review extrication, hazardous and weapons of mass destruction, mass casualty incidence and crime scene awareness, ambulance and rescue operations. In conjunction with this course, the paramedic students will also be required to successfully complete the CAPSTONE field co-requisite, EMSP 1127 Clinical/Field Part 3 of 3. The student must have all skills completed on the digital platform/skills tracker and approved by clinical-field coordinator and program director to begin CAPSTONE-Team Leads.
Prerequisites: (2) EMSP 1124 and EMSP 1125 must be completed prior to taking this course. Lec: 10 Lab: 6 Cr: 12
