This career certificate provides students with a foundation in programming logic and modern computer languages. Students become familiar with two programming languages, modern software development lifecycle practices, and foundational software development knowledge utilized in today’s IT businesses.

Note: This versatile certificate can be completed on its own and is also a level I certificate in the Software Developer concentration. To complete the AASIT degree under this concentration, it must be combined with either the Full Stack Developer (ITFSD), Software Testing & Automation (ITSWT) or IT Generalist (ITGEN) level II certificates.

Additionally, this certificate is also a level II certificate in the AASIT Database and Data Science concentration when completed concurrently or after the Data Administration (DBACC) certificate.

Students should work with an MCC advisor as soon as possible to determine the pathway that meets their career and education goals.

To earn this degree, a student must complete all required courses.
