Pathway to Associate Degree: Automotive Technology (ATOAS)  

This career certificate provides students with the skills and knowledge necessary for entry-level positions in the automotive field. This program helps students develop skills in diagnosing and repairing common entry-level items. The program presents the fundamentals of automotive systems and emphasizes mastering entry-level hands-on skills.

Program Level Student Learning Outcomes


  1. Apply fundamentals of automotive service training, including the basics of automotive diagnostics and repair.
  2. Identify, inspect, disassemble basic components of automotive engines.
  3. Apply knowledge of the function, construction, operation, troubleshooting and service of disc, drum and ABS systems, steering, suspension, and wheel alignment.
