The Facilities Operations and Maintenance Career Certificate prepares students for entry level employment in operations and maintenance for a variety of critical facilities including data centers, and hospitals.

Program Level Student Learning Outcomes


  1. To prepare both academically and experientially for employment as an operator, maintenance technician, or stationary engineer in industrial, commercial, or critical facilities.
  2. Appraise hazards found in industrial, commercial, or critical facilities, and know the procedures and requirements regarding safety, PPE, regulatory and environmental issues.
  3. Describe core function, operating fundamentals, operating procedures, and maintenance procedures of equipment required to support the facility.
