Pathway to Associate Degree: Architectural Design Technician (ARCTO)  

 

This career certificate is for individuals with prior knowledge about architecture and construction documents who are seeking to up-skill or retool themselves to working with Autodesk Revit (a BIM - Building Information Modeling) software. Prior experience with construction documentation is recommended.

 

Graduation Requirements
To earn this certificate, a student must complete all required courses.

BIM Architectural (BIMAR)

The following plan is designed to be the most direct path to degree completion and is based on a fall quarter start. Students are expected to meet with their student success navigator or advisor to plan a customized course schedule that meets their specific needs. Program Level Student Learning Outcomes


  1. Describe the components of architecture as they are integrated into buildings.
  2. Operate industry relevant software to demonstrate knowledge and technical proficiency related to buildings.
  3. Demonstrate how the design process manifests from an idea into technical documentation utilizing multiple software platforms including the use of BIM.
  4. Design realistic architectural projects through team collaboration.
