Paramedicine - Professional Health Studies (PHPMO)

Location(s): South Omaha Campus, Fremont Area Center


Award: Associate in Applied Science Degree
Academic Focus Area: Health Careers

This option allows Paramedicine graduates to transfer to a four-year program in health or medical sciences. Graduates often find an expanded job market available to them as some employers require an associate degree as the minimum for hire.

All required classes for the PHPMO degree must have a grade of C or better to graduate from the program.

Graduation Requirements
Completed Paramedicine Certificate (PMPMC): 87.0
Additional General Education Credits*: 9.0 - 10.5
Total credit hours required: 96.0 - 97.5

*Additional MCC General Education competency requirements have been met in the Paramedicine certificate program. Upon completion, students will have met all MCC General Education requirements.

Requirements for AAS Paramedicine Track


Students who successfully complete the Paramedicine certificate of achievement can earn the Professional Health Studies associate in applied science degree by fulfilling the additional 10.5 credit hours of general education requirements. Note that not all courses in the degree may transfer.
