Pathway to Associates: Associate in Applied Science - Information Technology (AASIT)
The Data Science Career Certificate is a level II certificate and is designed for the student who wishes to develop a working knowledge of gathering, managing, interpreting and storytelling with data in our modern world. As large collections of complex data become more commonly leveraged as a driving force in business decision-making, careers in data science, reporting and analytics are in demand! This certificate prepares students for entry level work in data analytics and reporting.
Note: This versatile certificate can be completed on its own and is also a level II certificate that is part of both the Database Administration & Data Science and Web Development concentrations within the Associate of Applied Science - Information Technology (AASIT) degree.
To complete the AASIT degree under the Database Administration & Data Science concentration, this certificate must be taken after or concurrently with the Database Administration (DBACC) level I certificate.
To complete the AASIT degree under the Web Development concentration, this certificate must be taken after or concurrently with the Web Development (WDCCI) level I certificate.
Students should work with an MCC advisor as soon as possible to determine the pathway that meets their career and education goals.
