Academic Focus Area: Skilled Trades and Technical Sciences

This certificate of achievement provides students with practical experience in servicing and installing air conditioning and heating equipment. Related instruction enables students to understand the basic principles involved in construction and operation of the equipment. Upon completion of the program, potential employment opportunities exist with companies that specialize in air conditioning and heating service and installation.

To earn this certificate, a student must complete all required courses.

  2. Safely troubleshoot and install commercial HVAC systems.
  3. Safely troubleshoot and install commercial refrigeration systems.
  4. Safely construct, install, and repair all forms of refrigeration piping, gas piping, and air ductwork systems.
  5. Safely demonstrate proper refrigerant handling, charging, and recovery processes.
  6. Identify components of and operate a Building Automation System
