Students will learn botanical and common names of plants for Midwest Landscapes and controlled environments.  Students will learn physical characteristics, maintenance, care and pests of plants.

Prerequisites: (1) HLSM 1010

Course Objectives
  1. Recognize plants with Spring seasonal interest by their botanical and common names and know their correct spellings.
  2. Distinguish Spring Seasonal interest plants based on their morphological structures.
  3. Create a final plant collection with Spring Seasonal Plants
  4. Describe growing conditions required for each plant in Spring Seasonal Collection
  5. Describe seasonal and physical characteristics that make Spring Seasonal plants unique
