Course Objectives

Explain the idea of a safety culture and its importance to industry.
Identify the cause of accidents and the impact of accident cost
Recognize hazards and apply risk assessment techniques.
Explain fall protection, ladder, stair, and scaffold safety procedures.
Identify struck-by hazards and demonstrate safe working procedures.
Demonstrate safe working procedures to use around electrical hazards.
Identify caught in-between hazards and demonstrate safe working procedures.
Demonstrate the use and care of appropriate personnel safety equipment (PPE)
Explain the importance of hazard communication and material safety data sheets.
