This internship is designed to give students the opportunity to participate in working fire station. Students will be able perform the role of an emergency responder under the guidance of the Bennington Fire Department.

Prerequisites: (2) FIST 1090 and FIST 2070

Course Objectives

Participate in an orientation provided by the BFD concerning safety and confidentiality.
Recognize the need for PPE, choose appropriate PPE, and demonstrate its critical need during routine and emergency operations.
Demonstrate the expectations associated within their role as a Bennington FireFighter Intern.
Demonstrate the aptitude and ability to work with the public in educating them regarding fire and life safety.
