ENGR 1000 - First -Year Engineering Seminar 1.0 Credits
Students learn about the many disciplines of engineering and construction. Students also learn about and begin building the skills critical to being a successful engineering student and future engineer. In addition, students develop the skills needed to transition into college and strategies for transferring into UNO/UNL College of Engineering.

Course Objectives
- Recognize academic and campus resources available to engineering students.
- Reflect on the different engineering disciplines, career outcomes, and experiential learning opportunities to support your goals and career interests.
- Engage with engineering departments.
- Reflect on each of The Complete Engineer Competencies, the essential non-technical skills critical to be a competent engineer.
- Apply self-management skills & success strategies to help you transition to college and prepare for future classes.
