Course Objectives

Define and apply four basic group concepts: small group communication, group formation and development, leadership, participation.
Identify and apply the skills of confidence, listening, verbal and nonverbal communication, conflict management, and building cohesion in small groups.
Plan and participate in small group projects, such as: meetings, decision-making and problem-solving, argumentation, and oral presentation.
Conduct research for small group presentations, including proper written and oral citations of sources.
Effectively use technology within small groups to enhance group formation, meetings, and presentations.
