CNST 1530 - Concrete Formwork

Students define, identify, and apply vocabulary, methods, and practices of concrete form construction. Students design and build multiple concrete form systems. The students interpret and apply building and safety codes as required during the course.

Course Objectives
  1. Explain concrete vocabulary, methods and practices for concrete forms.
  2. Perform vertical and horizontal measurements.
  3. Build block-outs and beam pockets.
  4. Build and erect concrete forms.
  5. Identify Prefabricated Forms
  6. List and Identify Commercial Spreaders, Fasteners, and Forms
  7. Work safely in a concrete construction environment.
  8. Apply applicable building and safety codes.
