This course teaches basic skills in using equipment and interpreting symbols and language used in illustrating interiors and furniture in plan, elevation, and 3-D manual drawing.

Course Objectives

Identify and define types of illustration techniques used by interior designers.
Identify and utilize selected tools and materials employed by the designer for presentation boards.
Apply scale conversion formulas.
Identify and apply selected orthographic techniques.
Draw a floor plan and selected elevations.
Identify and apply selected methods of creating a paraline drawing and one and two-point perspectives.
Identify and apply techniques of placing interior items in a paraline drawing and one and-two point perspectives.
Identify and apply selected techniques when rendering with black-and-white media.
Identify and apply selected techniques for constructing color presentation boards.
Assemble a color board for final project.
Organize and present final presentation board.
