DIMA 1450 - Design for Motion Graphics

4.5 Credits

Students explore visual design concepts related to motion graphics. Adobe After Effects is the primary software and Photoshop introduced to compose still images, live-action video, and animation for television, film, web, and mobile devices. This course provides the student with the necessary technical software applications to produce title sequences, station identification, key-frame animation, and infographics.

Course Objectives

Name and recognize graphic formats for broadcast and other output.
Create key-frame animation and create composites with video.
Create typographic title sequences.
Develop an understanding of design concepts relating to motion graphics
Create infographics according to a given set of criteria.
