This course will assist you in establishing a solid foundation of medical terminology and abbreviations. You will learn medical vocabulary as it applies to the anatomy, physiology, and pathology of the human body. The functioning of the body systems, surgical procedures, and drug therapies will be studied. Normal, pathological, clinical, and laboratory considerations will be examined in order to best prepare you for entrance into the healthcare professions. Emphasis will also be placed on correct spelling and pronunciation of medical terms.
