SCET 1130 - REVIT (Structure)


4.5 Credits

Students learn the basic functions of building information modeling and Revit concepts via hands-on experience with Autodesk Revit Structure software. Students will concentrate on structural building components (grids, columns, beams, slabs, foundations) and produce construction documents from 3-D models.

Course Objectives
  1. Students define Building Information Modeling.
  2. Students navigate the Revit user interface.
  3. Students manipulate Revit to build a three dimensional structural model.
  4. Students create and modify building components such as beams, columns and floors.
  5. Students develop two and three dimensional views of the model.
