TTEN 2220 - Climate Control - Toyota

This course covers the automotive heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems and the engine cooling system. Lecture sessions are devoted to the purpose, operational theory, and diagnostic processes common to each of the above areas. Lab sessions are provided to develop student skills in servicing, trouble-shooting, and repairing each component within the specific system. Students will work on both components and live vehicles as part of the learning process. 4 lecture, 6 lab hrs/day (14 day course 112 contact hours).

Course Objectives

1. Identify and describe principles of heating and cooling, and describe states of matter throughout cooling system.

2. Identify and describe HVAC System Inspection and Diagnosis.

3. Identify and describe HVAC manual controls operation, and diagnose system fault using Techstream.

4. Identify and describe climate control seat systems operation, and diagnose climate control seat system.

5. Perform an overall A/C system performance evaluation using course text Toyota 752.
