SPAN 2982 - Spanish for Healthcare Internship variable Credits
The internship provides the opportunity to work in a medical setting that offers Spanish interpretation experience. To meet academic and career objectives, students must meet with program faculty prior to enrollment. Based on state guidelines, students must complete 40 hours of work for each credit hour. (Formerly Spanish for Medical Personnel Internship)

Course Objectives The student will interpret Spanish in a medical clinic and complete coursework.
- Maintain regular hours.
- Work as a Medical Spanish Interpreter in a clinical setting.
- Apply skills learned in course in internship.
- Observe and integrate basic professionalism as it relates to the field of medical interpretation and client communications.
