Course Objectives

Understand the nature and culture of business situations in the Spanish speaking world.
Apply Spanish vocabulary to specific business-related situations. Business-related situations include: dealing with accountants and accounting, preparing a tax return for a Spanish-speaker in the U.S, working in retail sales, helping customers at a bank.
Apply appropriate Spanish grammar to written and oral communication including the use of present indicative verbs, commands, preterit verbs, imperfect verbs and some perfect tenses.
Appropriately produce and comprehend oral communication in Spanish to business-related situations.
Display an awareness of economic, business and political entities that affect the Spanish-speaking world.
Demonstrate intermediate level reading comprehension, writing skills, fluent speech and listening comprehension of the Spanish language.
