INFO 2990 - Data Center Operations Capstone/ Internship


4.5 Credits

Students will have the opportunity to apply their newly developed skills, learn new techniques, and get hands-on experience managing a data center. Students work in the Information Technology Data Centers in addition to accessing the data center remotely at times during the quarter. Students will work with the Instructor in the Data Center.

Course Objectives
  1. Navigate online training materials and restate duties and responsibilities.
  2. Apply microcomputer, data center, applications, and networking skills that have been taught in prerequisite classes
  3. Apply problem-solving techniques to complete IT projects in a Data Center environment
  4. Apply problem-solving techniques to analyze and propose appropriate solutions to problems that develop throughout the term of the internship
  5. Prepare and maintain an accurate log of activities using prescribed methods and tools.
  6. Use reference materials to locate the answer to questions.
