INFO 2981 - Internship Variable Credits
The internship provides students with the opportunity to apply their knowledge, learn new techniques, and get on-the-job training at approved work sites. Interested students must contact their faculty advisors to develop internships to meet their academic and career goals. Based on state guidelines, students must complete 40 hours of work for each credit hour.
Prerequisites: (1) Instructor approval - this course should be taken during the final quarter of the program

Course Objectives
- Demonstrate the ability to navigate online training materials and restate duties and responsibilities.
- Practice applying microcomputer, data center, applications, and networking skills that have been taught in prerequisite classes.
- Apply problem-solving techniques to complete IT projects.
- Demonstrate proficiency by assisting faculty and/or staff to complete organizational tasks using a word processor, spreadsheet, database, or presentation graphics program.
- Prepare and maintain an accurate log of activities using prescribed methods and tools.
- Demonstrate the ability to use reference materials to locate the answer to questions.
