INFO 2643 - Implementing Data Warehouses

Students gain the skills needed to design, develop, implement and maintain a data warehouse using Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services. The course covers basic- through advanced-level data warehouse implementation. The course aligns with the Microsoft Business Intelligence certification.

Course Objectives
1. Discuss and explain star and snowflake schemas, designing dimensions, and fact tables.
2. Explain how to index and compress data, and demonstrate using partitions.
3. Create a data warehouse and load data using SQL Server Integration Services.
4. Demonstrate installing, deploying, trouble shooting, tuning, executing, and securing a SQL Server Integration Package.
5. Enhance automated control flows and transactions.
6. Describe how to install and maintain Data Quality Services and create Master Data Services.
7. Demonstrate how to improve data quality with DQS Cleansing Transformation and matching for loading data in a Data Warehouse.
