ESLX 0724 - Writing and Grammar 4 6.0 Credits
Students learn advanced English grammar and how to apply that knowledge to the common types of writing assignments they will receive in their degree programs. Students will also learn to use MCC’s email and computer system to produce documents and share them with instructors.
Prerequisites: (1) ESLX 0723 or assessment testing

Course Objectives
- Grammar objectives: Use the basic and advanced verb tenses in both active and passive forms and use adverbials.
- Writing objectives: Produce four essays (at least four paragraphs each) using the target grammar correctly. Re-write essays using the instructor’s feedback.
- College preparedness objective: Produce the first draft of all essays using the MCC computer system and share essays with the instructor via MCC email.
