Course Objectives
  1. Explain the major periods of Latin American literary history.
  2. Describe the historical, political and cultural influences on Latin American literature.
  3. Analyze the different genres and techniques used by Latin American writers.
  4. Explain how Latin American writers have shaped existing literary genres according to their unique cultural and historical experiences.
  5. Explore and use a variety of techniques to respond to Latin American literature.
  6. Analyze the cultural complexity and diversity of Latin American literature both past and present
