Advanced Medical Life Support is an in depth study into the medical emergencies of the adult patient and the emergent care of respiratory, cardiovascular, shock, abdominal, infectious disease, neurological, endocrine-metabolic, environmental, Toxicological and HazMat along with mental health and emergencies unique to women.

Prerequisites: (1) Licensed, practicing prehospital emergency medical provider or student at level of EMR, EMT, AEMT, Paramedic, RN, mid-level provider and physician.

Course Objectives

perform a basic and comprehensive patient history and physical assessment
identify and apply the principles and procedures performed for stable and unstable medical patients.
identify, assess and manage emergencies affecting all body systems as a prehospital provider would be exposed to.assess the basic and advanced laboratory tests associated with the stable and unstable medical patient, applying the results to the management of that patient.
