DIMA 2700 - 3-D Game Development


4.5 Credits

This course is an introduction to the production of motion picture graphics using 3-D modeling, animation software, and Game Industry Standard Engines (Unreal Engine or Unity). Students practice and refine 3-D model execution and scene design with light and camera placement while working in a team-based development cycle to understand source control and professional practices.

Course Objectives
  1. Analyze and define hierarchy of methods for production of an interactive program.
  2. Prepare and import supporting media.
  3. Identify interactive structures and media interfaces.
  4. Plan and execute an interactive program using media interfaces.
  5. Develop and participate in team-based objectives.
  6. Basic understanding of source control, through industry standard methods.
  7. Basic knowledge of Game Industry Standard Engines (Unreal Engine or Unity).
