CNST 1240 - Interior Finish and Cabinetry

Students learn interior finish terms and definitions that are used in the construction field. Students learn theory and practical application of various types of floor, wall and ceiling finish, interior door hanging, and various applications of interior trim and cabinets. Students practice estimation of labor and materials in all areas.

Locate and interpret building codes in the IRC International Residential Code.
Install various types of insulation/vapor barriers.

Install various types of interior trim.
Layout and install various types of floor finishes.
Layout and install wall and base cabinets.
Install underlayment and various finish counter tops.
