AUTT 2900 - Special Topics in Automotive Variable Credits
This course is designed to permit instruction in special content areas not included in other courses in the Automotive Technology program.

Course Objectives 1. Operate a variety of shop tools and equipment.
2. Demonstrate and explain shop safety.
3. Measure various engine parts and compare those readings to factory specifications.
4. Apply the theory of engine lubrication and cooling system operation to the overall operation of and engine.
5. Successfully operate a tire balancer, tire machine, patch a tire and explain their markings.
6. Demonstrate proper use of a clicker torque wrench.
7. Properly use the tools associated with thread repair.
