AUTT 2130 - Automotive VI: Engine Performance 12 Credits
Students will diagnose electrical systems related to engine performance problems. Students will have the opportunity to work with advanced fuel systems, ignition systems, air induction systems, and EVAP systems. The oscilloscope will be used to capture and analyze waveforms in order to diagnose engine performance electrical problems.
Prerequisites: (1) AUTT 1130 with a grade of “C” or better

Course Objectives
- Test, analyze, and diagnose automotive electrical systems.
- Inspect, analyze, diagnose and service ignition systems using the appropriate tools and service manuals.
- Analyze and diagnose vehicle communication networks.
- Inspect, analyze, diagnose and service the fuel system and related components using the appropriate tools and service manuals.
- Inspect, analyze, diagnose and service the air and exhaust systems using the appropriate tools and service manuals.
- Inspect, analyze, diagnose and service the emission control system using the appropriate tools and service manuals.
