PLAP 2410 - Plumbing IVA

This course prepares apprentice plumbers for the City of Omaha Journeyman Plumber Test. This is achieved by providing an intense focus on the Articles from the City of Omaha Plumbing Code. The instructors utilize practical projects and written tests to help students prepare for this goal.

Course Objectives
  1. Understand scientific principles and theories used in the design of plumbing systems.
  2. Interpret and apply the Omaha Plumbing Code.
  3. Design storm water drainage and water piping systems in accordance with applicable code and scientific principles.
  4. Identify installation procedures for various plumbing systems.
  5. Understand the process of water conditioning.
  6. Understand mathematics used in the Omaha Plumbing Code systems.
