PLAP 2330 - Print Reading for Plumbers

This course helps the apprentice gain the basic knowledge needed to read blueprints, create shop drawings, and make isometric illustrations of a plumbing system.

Prerequisites: (1) PLAP 2320

Course Objectives
  1. Recognize common plumbing abbreviations and blueprint symbols
  2. Be able to read and create isometric drawings
  3. Gain an understanding of the math skills needed in the plumbing trade such as pipe offsets, capacities and volume
  4. Understand the complete blueprint package as it relates to the project and coordination between the trades
  5. Have an understanding of the difference between design intent and actual installation of a plumbing system
  6. Be able to create and use riser diagrams
