PLAP 2330 - Print Reading for Plumbers 3.5 Credits
This course helps the apprentice gain the basic knowledge needed to read blueprints, create shop drawings, and make isometric illustrations of a plumbing system.
Prerequisites: (1) PLAP 2320

Course Objectives
- Recognize common plumbing abbreviations and blueprint symbols
- Be able to read and create isometric drawings
- Gain an understanding of the math skills needed in the plumbing trade such as pipe offsets, capacities and volume
- Understand the complete blueprint package as it relates to the project and coordination between the trades
- Have an understanding of the difference between design intent and actual installation of a plumbing system
- Be able to create and use riser diagrams
