PLAP 1220 - Plumbing IIB 7.0 Credits
This course provides a better understanding of the Omaha Plumbing Code. Using the knowledge acquired, students apply the code requirements to field work and lab projects. Students also continue gaining proficiency using plumbing math.
Prerequisites: (1) PLAP 1210

Course Objectives
- Describe the fundamental theories involved in designing a waste and vent system.
- Transfer dimensions from plans to actual layout dimensions for lab.
- Demonstrate an ability to apply the Omaha Plumbing Code in working situations by installing water, waste and vent piping in a lab situation, in accordance with code requirements.
- Read and interpret residential blueprints to install the plumbing in accordance with it’s specifications.
- Demonstrate proficiency in plumbing math and apply it to practical situations in the plumbing lab.
- Explain the types of problems encountered in service work and give guidelines and suggestions on how to solve them.
