PHOT 1107 - Basic Photography Lighting


6.0 Credits

Students are introduced to studio flash photographic lighting. Students work with digital technology and lighting equipment in a studio setting to design the appropriate lighting for the subject. All work is completed using the student’s personal digital camera and printed in the digital lab.

Prerequisites: (2) PHOT 1101  and PHOT 1103  with a grade of C or better

Course Objectives
  1. Produce images demonstrating of the use and modification of strobe photographic lighting.
  2. Produce images demonstrating of the application of studio photographic equipment.
  3. Apply photographic lighting design for studio product work.
  4. Apply photographic lighting design for studio portrait work.
