PHOT 1105 - History of Photographic Practice 6.0 Credits
Students become acquainted with photographic imagery of the past and present. Students learn photography’s interrelationship with society and culture, art and technology, and the principles of visual design.
Prerequisites: (1) PHOT 1101 with a grade of C or better.

Course Objectives
- Identify and describe representative figures, movements, and events in the history of photograph
- Analyze historical and contemporary photographs.
- Apply the principles of visual design and demonstrate their relationship to photographs.
- Synthesize the above objectives, and produce a portfolio of photographs reflecting a heightened awareness of these concepts.
