INFO 1120 - Windows Operating Systems II 4.5 Credits
Students learn fundamental concepts of effective use and management of the Microsoft Windows desktop operating system. This course continues the exploration of the Microsoft Windows desktop operation system from an administration perspective. Course objectives align with objectives of the Microsoft Desktop Administrator Associate certification.

Course Objectives
- Demonstrate use of remote access and virtual computing
- Install and troubleshoot operating systems.
- Demonstrate ability to manage volumes on local disk
- Create local users and groups in peer-to-peer environment
- Demonstrate ability to manage local file and folder security with NTFS file permissions
- Demonstrate ability to manage network resources through Windows 7 interfaces
- Demonstrate ability to manage network security of files and folders with Share and NTFS file permissions
- Demonstrate ability to optimize system resources by configuring local services.
- Demonstrate ability to manipulate the Windows operating system using the registry
- Demonstrate ability to manipulate the Windows operating system using the Local Policies
- Demonstrate ability to script in Windows 7 with batch file and with the Windows 7 PowerShell environment.
- Demonstrate ability to support mobile Windows 7 users
