INFO 1110 - Windows Operating Systems I 4.5 Credits
Students are introduced to Microsoft Windows desktop operating system. Students learn fundamental concepts to effectively use and manage the Microsoft Windows desktop operating system. Many of the objectives comply with industry standard certification exam objectives. NOTE: Students must receive a C or better in this course to enroll in a capstone course.

Course Objectives
- Identify various versions of the Windows Operating System and Installation Types
- Use the basic interfaces to include the GUI and the Command Line, basic file and folder navigation.
- Perform Clean Installations of the Windows operating system and perform post-installation configuration,
- Activate Windows and Log on to Windows using Local Account.
- Use both Local Accounts and Domain Log-ins
- Understand and Explain Azure Active Directory
- Manage Windows using, Device Manager
- Perform IPv4 and IPv6 Configurations
- Perform Windows configurations by; Modifying File associations, Repairing Desktop Applications, Managing, Application Startups, Configuring Startup Items, and Managing Desktop Applications.
- Implement Shared Folders, Configure Public folder sharing, Manage and Use OneDrive
- Understand and Use BitLocker, Create Power Plans, Configure Off-Line Files, Understand Microsoft Intune
- Manage and view System Information and Performance, use Microsoft Management Consoles
- Configure Windows Update, Use the System Feature, Use the System Backup Feature.
- Understand and Identify Malware attacks, configure Window Security Features.
