DIMA 2310 - Information Design 4.5 Credits
Students will learn the various elements of information design. Students will analyze verbal and statistical data and best approaches to translate data into graphic formats that are both functional and aesthetically engaging. Students also create imagery related to wayfinding and usability.
Prerequisites: (1) DIMA 2300

Course Objectives
- Assemble, organize, and translate written information to create visual information.
- Communicate a specific message that is clear, accessible, and easy to understand.
- Detail the history of Information Design.
- Objectively examine and evaluate professional work through case studies.
- Prepare thumbnails, roughs, mounted comprehensives, and production files.
- Appraise individual projects in group critique.
