DIMA 1310 - Typography I 4.5 Credits
Students are introduced to type history, terminology, specifications and design. Students apply fundamental criteria to select and use typefaces and fonts.
Prerequisites: (1) DIMA 1120

Course Objectives
- Outline origin and development of type.
- Use basic type vocabulary and terminology.
- Identify five basic families of type.
- Correctly set text type and display type.
- Evaluate typography for legibility and readability.
- Revise and enhance typography using computer.
- Make final evaluations and critique for designs.
