This course builds troubleshooting expertise for maintenance professionals and decision-makers at all levels. It examines creative and critical thinking, problem solving, and troubleshooting.

Course Objectives
  1. Demonstrate ability to identify problems based upon given criteria. 

  1. Identify the similarities and differences between creative thinking, critical thinking, problem solving, and troubleshooting. 

  1. Recognize the importance of early problem recognition. 

  1. Demonstrate ability to extract written information relating to a given problem. 

  1. Demonstrate the ability to report written problem information. 

  1. Practice inquiry as an information-gathering tool. 

  1. Recognize the elements of a given problem resolution model. 

  1. Model a problem resolution method from any of those covered in class.
