ARCH 1250 - Revit Project Management


4.5 Credits

Students learn fundamental skills for managing Revit projects to optimize organization, coordination and workflow within a multi-discipline design team. Previous experience with Revit is leveraged to gain functional knowledge of topics including templates, worksharing, annotation styles, complex scheduling, and advanced content creation.

Prerequisites: (1) ARCH 1105 or Instructor Approval

Course Objectives
  1. Utilize Revit Visibility, Design, and Phasing settings.
  2. Develop a Revit project template in support of chosen outcomes.
  3. Analyze Revit element conditions with advanced scheduling techniques.
  4. Create complex annotations and model families with formula-driven parameters.
  5. Contrast Revit work-sharing approaches to select appropriate work-sharing methods and conditions.
  6. Apply advanced modeling tools to complex project requirements.
  7. Create customized workflows to explore automation of Revit tasks.
