INFO 1001 - Information Systems and Literacy


4.5 Credits

Students learn knowledge and skills required on basic computer concepts. Topics include hardware, software, Windows operating system and file management, networking and security, and Internet and library research. Students also learn basic skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. The course is aligned with the IC3 Digital Literacy Certification. 

Recommended: A basic understanding of computer systems.

Course Objectives
  1. Describe basic computer technology concepts.

  5. Demonstrate file management techniques to manipulate electronic files and folders.
  6. Utilize basic skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
