MATH 0960 - Beginning Algebra 6.0 Credits
Students will review and learn basic algebra skills. Students will simplify expressions using all operations, absolute values, and exponent and positive and negative real numbers. Students will solve linear equations and inequalities and their applications. Students will also simplify and solve operations with polynomials which will include factoring, simplifying, and all operations of most types of polynomials. In addition, students will solve and simplifying equations of linear and inequalities. They will create graphs of linear equations, linear inequalities, and systems of linear equations.
Prerequisites: Prerequisite(s): Within two years prior to beginning the course, successful completion of MATH 0910 with a grade of P, or MCC placement test
