PHIL 2900 - Special Topics in Philosophy Variable Credits Students cultivate skills in scientific, critical, and creative thinking, in communication, in cultural awareness, and in information literacy by grappling with questions that invite special inquiry-questions about religious or political controversies, mathematical logic, cultural values, medical or environmental ethics, social theory, the foundations of scientific method, legal theory, or justice. Such topics are explored directly or by special focus on the work of a specific philosophical figure.
