LAWS 2422 - Law of Corporations 4.5 Credits Students study the laws governing the formation, structure, regulation, and dissolution of corporations, including shareholder and director liability; types of financial structure; takeovers, mergers, and acquisitions; foreign existence and operation; and comparison of the corporate structure with other business entities. Students examine the paralegal’s role in gathering facts, organizing data, and drafting documents typically encountered in the corporate environment.
Prerequisites: LAWS 1230 must be completed prior to taking this course. Lec: 4.5 Lab: 0 Cr: 4.5
